Guided implant surgery minimizes intervention effects
Implantology techniques have improved considerably over the years in order to achieve better results with less invasive methods. Computer-guided surgery allows implants to be inserted through a small punch in the gingiva, greatly reducing postoperative symptoms.
Through a 3D CT scan and appropriate software, the surgeon can plan with precision where and how to place the implant. Then, a surgical guide is made, which allows insertion of the implant in the place previously defined in the study, reducing considerably surgical time, with very predictable results.
At Clinica Pinheiro Torres, we have used this technique for more than 10 years, with very successful rates, in order to improve the results and minimize post-operative effects.
